3B Engine Swap Pictures

The engine still in donor S2.. :( Carefully removed wiring harness Bits and pieces Intake before cleanup. Engine ready for some new parts Assembly taking shape Intake cleaned up really well Might was well be new.. ;) Some deposits but not too bad Block still has factory paint on it. Including some code... "AE"?? S2 and 200q 20v fuel return hoses Can't use S2 return hose on Ur-q Power steering bracketry Good enough alignment New and clean bits... nice! Power steering pump just clears S2 alternator and bracket Original green DigiDash Say goodbye The orange DigiDash before install DigiDash plug same as MAC 11 Orange on top and green on bottom Pin swap... Voila!... few things to sort though. The D-day... WR removal She doesn't want to go... Mr. Cook having fun! Almost there.. Few more tugs And she's out Looking almost like sport q... ;) Lot's still to do before 3B can go in Not much access to the original harness S2 harness is a lot bigger... die-grinder fixed that Looks a bit messy... not to worry though S2 harness in place... sort of Preliminary layout S2 harness running through the brake booster 016 3B MCII flywheel on Diet And then on the engine 3B almost ready to go And finally in! Lot's of room on this side. Not much on this side... give and take. Ahhh still lot's to do At least Mr. Cook approves.. I like that 5kt hydraulic reservoir... S2 harness brackets are really handy. S4/S6 Michelin man hose fits perfectly Even the after-run pump decided to fit. All looking neat and happy The factory strut brace is a nice touch. I just ran the by-pass from the S2 hose... The final product including RR air-box.. Joyyy!
